Neil
Grossman , Ph.D.
Dr. Grossman received his doctoral degree from Baylor University. He fulfilled his clinical psychology internship requirement at Bellevue – New York University – Medical Center and graduated from the four year, Adelphi University Postdoctoral Training Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. Later he completed the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy, three-year training program. He is a board-certified specialist in Family Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. Dr. Grossman has been on the clinical staff of several hospitals, child care agencies and a community-based mental health center.
Dr. Grossman has been involved with forensic work since 1975 and in the mid 1990’s he focused on divorce and child custody. He is has been very active in seeking ways to stabilize families going through a divorce and finding alternatives to a litigated divorce.
Dr. Grossman trained in divorce mediation and collaborative divorce. He helped bring the first parenting coordination program to New York State and he is a founding member and co-chair of the Parenting Coordinator Association of New York. Dr. Grossman has presented numerous workshops on a local and national level and has written many articles for the professional literature.
