Ann
Block , Esq.
Ann Block Esq. practices exclusively in the area of family and matrimonial law, having worked in this field for several years prior to commencing her private law practice in 1994. She is an adjunct member of the faculty of Hofstra Law School and has been a member of the law guardian panel for the last nine years, serving the rights of children. Ann Block is a member of the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, the Matrimonial Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association, the Inns of
Court and the Suffolk County Bar Association.
In furthering her philosophical commitment to Collaborative Law and her belief that matrimonial disputes should be settled rather than litigated, she has participated as a facilitator for the PEACE project sponsored by the Interdisciplinary Counsel and the Nassau County Supreme Court and as an evaluator for the Neutral Evaluation Program in Nassau County. Ann Block has also appeared as a guest speaker on the cable television show "Lawline" to discuss the topic of " How to Choose a Matrimonial Attorney" and conducted several seminars in Nassau and Suffolk Counties on the topic of Matrimonial Law. Ann Block has also written two chapters on Child Support for the annual Survey of Matrimonial Law, published by the American Inns of
Court.
